Carer of the Month April 2011

Home Carer.

Christine has been registered with us for just coming up a year and has waited patiently for Porter Moore to move their home care service to the Waterside area of Southampton.

Christine now has many clients and will be coming over to us full time in a few weeks. We wanted to give Christine this award because without being asked, she has very quickly become the natural team leader for the area. She looks after all the new inexperienced staff she has in the area, she has carried out all the shadow training with the new carers and has far and exceeded her role as a carer.

Christine also has filled the breach at the last moment on many occasions to ensure that a vulnerable adult has not been left.

Well done Christine, you are doing great!

Congratulations to Tina who has been chosen for the March''''''''''''''''s award. Tina has only been with us for a short while but during that time she has been outstanding in all the different areas of her position.

She is an excellent example of a applicant who has never worked with the elderley before but who has been trained and adapted to her new role perfectly.

This month we have given Sharleen the award. Sharleen is a Home Carer and is based in the Ringwood area. We think she deserves this award for her excellent standards of care, her reliability and very importantly her flexibility.

We are also very appreciative of Sharleen being prepared to travel to new care packages away from her usual area.

Support Worker.

We have awarded January 2011 "Temp of the Month" to Emmanuel. Emmanuel is a support worker and has been with Porter Moore since June 2008.

Our clients fight over who can book him first and he is very popular with his co-workers too. He is reliable, hard working and great with the service users and deserves to be recognised for his long standing contribution.

Home Carer.

Congratulations to Darius for being selected as the "Temp of The Year". Very well deserved.

Darius is extremely hard working, very reliable and always eager to help at short notice. His clients speak very highly of him and more than anything this award has been given for consistency, no sickness since the day Darius started.

Darius has been know to cycle from New Milton to Ringwood to work rather than let his clients down!

This month''''''''''''''''s winner is Jim (James) one of our home carers. He has not been with us for many months but during his time he has excelled.

The other carers and clients alike are all very fond of Jim and he has taken on some of our more challenging packages and succeeded in ensuring the care given has exceeded the expectations of the client.

Carer of the Month November 2010

Home Carer.

We have selected Ben, a home carer for the November "Temp of the Month". Ben lives in Poole but still daily drives to the Ringwood/Fordingbridge area and then over to New Milton and back.

He takes on any additional call he''''''''s been asked to and along with many other carers, valiantly carried on working in the recent bad weather. All the service users Ben visits have praised him and he is extremely reliable.
